Volunteer

Okay, so maybe volunteering doesn't automatically make you a better person, and sometimes the initial fears and hurdles of getting involved along with questions like "how much of a difference can I really make?" or "what if I only have one day a week to commit?" can stop people from volunteering before they even start. But if you are aware of the challenges and the questions that come along with it, starting to volunteer can be easy and lead to an amazing experience. So check out these starter points for volunteering and get out there and do something!

What if I don't have a lot of free time to volunteer?

The amount of time you choose to volunteer is completely up to you and any time you give up will be a help.

What kind of work should I volunteer to do?

Sometimes the hardest part of volunteering is worrying about what we are qualified to do. Find some activity that suites both your interests and your talents. Don't worry about not being helpful because wherever you end up, the people who run the organization will find good use for you. Just being there is a step in the right direction and shows you care.

Teens are a reflection of our past, present and future. How we, as a community choose to invest in them now gives us a window into what our future will look like. Call today to find out how you can make a different.
